His diverse body of work has been featured on Jones Soda labels, hung in the Virginia Governors mansion, and won two City Magazine awards for 'Best Public Art Piece' + 'Best Art Exhibit.' Most recently he exhibited a piece in Red Bull's 'Art of Can' held in Union Station, Washington DC. Wiretap Studios is based in the scenic mountains of Virginia, USA.

+ About The Illustrations

Eli uses bits and pieces of material in a collage style similar to sampling found in styles of music such as hip-hop and electronic music. This is achieved from a combination of scanning, photographing, Internet sourcing, and creation from scratch. These parts are re-arranged, manipulated, and layered to become a singular image or illustration. In completed pieces there are hundreds of layers of source material that form a cohesive composition. Eli's inspirations include: Rauschenberg, Basquiat, Anselm Kiefer, urban architecture and decay, hip-hop / electronic / punk music, and exploring the outdoors.

+ About The Work

Eli's main interest is in illustrations for editorials, magazine articles and books, print advertisements, as well as album covers and related promotions for musicians. He is interested in any opportunity to work with a client on a interesting new design project. Wiretap Studios has previously worked with clients in the field of art direction, design / illustration for Internet & print, logos, branding, packaging, marketing concepts, and interior design.

+ About Eli

When not busy designing for clients, Eli enjoys exploring new cities & the great outdoors, making music, and tending to his fish & mini longhaired dachshund, Jack.
